You can easily cook Planked Salmon in 6 ingredients and just 8 steps. Here is how you can easily make it.
Ingredients of Planked Salmon
1 | You need 1 kg of salmon fillet. |
2 | Take 3 tbsp of brown sugar. |
3 | Approximately 1 tsp of sea salt. |
4 | You need 1 pinch of ground black pepper. |
5 | Approximately of Zest of lime (optional). |
6 | Approximately 1 tbsp of lime juice. |
Planked Salmon cooking guidances
Step 1 | Soak a cedar plank in cold water for at least one hour, longer is better!. |
Step 2 | Remove any pin bones from salmon, make small incisions in flesh, you can remove skin if you wish.. |
Step 3 | Mix sugar, salt & pepper (and lime zest if using) together, sprinkle over salmon, wrap in cling film for 30 -45 minutes.. |
Step 4 | Preheat oven to 190C, when hot place plank in oven, on a baking tray, for 5 minutes.. |
Step 5 | Remove salmon from cling film and place, skin side down, on plank, drizzle with any liquid, sprinkle on lime juice.. |
Step 6 | Place in oven for 25-30 minutes until cooked, should be slightly pink in the middle.. |
Step 7 | Serve with fried potatoes and peas or green salad.. |
Step 8 | Also good with wild rice.. |
