1 | Prepare 400 grams of Beef (I used leftover beef brisket). |
2 | You need 1 liter of Veg oil emough to deep fry. |
3 | You need 3 of egg whites in a bowl. |
4 | It’s 1 of small cup of Cornstarch/ Corn flour. |
5 | You need 1/4 tsp of Cayenne Pepper powder. |
6 | About 1 tsp of Dried Paprika powder. |
7 | About 1/2 tsp of Black Pepper (I used tellicherry). |
8 | It’s 1/2 tsp of Sea Salt. |
My Crispy Salt & Pepper Beef Strips π cooking step by step
Step 1 | In a saucepan or chip pan, heat up the oil, about 1 & 1/2 inch deep. |
Step 2 | Put your corn starch into a mixing bowl. |
Step 3 | Add the cayenne pepper. |
Step 4 | Then add the sea salt, pepper, paprika and mix it all together. |
Step 5 | Cut, or if cooked, pull off long shaped beef. It's easy when already cooked. |
Step 6 | Crack the eggs and just keep the white into a bowl. |
Step 7 | When the oil is really hot, dip the piece of beef into the egg white then into the flour mix, then into the hot oil. Repeat this with 5 or 6 pieces at a time, and using a drain spoon, scoop them out and let drain on kitchen paper.. |
Step 8 | When drained add to serving plate add a little pinch of Salt & pepper and sprinkle all over.. |
Step 9 | Serve with a crispy salad, and wraps and a lemon peppery sauce made with sour cream.. |
